Stop Waiting to Feel Ready

If you’re stuck in hesitation, this post will help you stop waiting to feel ready and take action—before confidence shows up.

Stop Waiting to Feel Ready: How to Take Action Even When You’re Not Sure

I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating: confidence doesn’t come first. Action does.
So many women I know are holding back.
They’re waiting for the right moment.
They’re waiting to feel more qualified, more confident, or more clear.
But today, I want to challenge that belief.
It’s time to stop waiting to feel ready and just begin—right where you are.

Why We Wait

At first, hesitation feels logical.
You might tell yourself you’ll start once you’ve taken another course.
Or when your website is updated.
Or once you finally feel better in your body.

But let’s be honest—that moment rarely shows up on its own.
Waiting becomes a safety mechanism.
It keeps us from rejection, embarrassment, or even visibility.

I’ve done it too. I’ve delayed projects, launches, and even conversations because I didn’t feel ready.

But here’s the thing: “not ready” is often code for fear.

What You’re Actually Waiting For

Are you waiting for perfection?
Are you hoping someone else will give you permission to begin?
Most of the time, we’re waiting to stop feeling uncomfortable.

But growth is uncomfortable by design.
Confidence, clarity, and courage are not pre-requisites.
They are the result of showing up scared.

So while you may feel unqualified or unsure, remember this:
You are more ready than you think.

My Story of Starting Before I Was Ready

When I launched this podcast, I didn’t feel ready.
Not even close.
I questioned whether anyone would listen or care.
I thought I needed more credentials or a better setup.

The same happened when I launched my app.
The idea had been sitting with me for years.
Still, I waited—until one day I realized:

“If I don’t do this, someone else will. And they won’t bring the same perspective I do.”

That shift mattered. It reminded me that my story has value—even before it’s polished.

Taking the First Step Builds Trust and to Stop Waiting to be Ready

You don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room, and you don’t need a full strategy to get started. You don’t even need to feel 100% sure.

What you need is a step. One action. One choice.

Every time I moved forward scared, something was built.
Sometimes it was clarity. Sometimes it was confidence.
And many times, it was trust—in myself and in what I could handle.

What You Can Do This Week to Stop Waiting to be Ready

So here’s your challenge:
Pick one thing you’ve been putting off.

It could be:

  • Posting a photo
  • Going live
  • Pitching your services
  • Updating your bio

Choose one. Then do it.
Not because you feel fully prepared—but because action leads to alignment.

The more you move, the more you’ll believe in yourself.

You’re Not Waiting. You’re Building.

The truth is, there will always be something left to fix, tweak, or figure out.
But the longer you wait to feel ready, the more momentum you lose.

So show up today.
Messy, scared, uncertain—but still willing.

Because readiness isn’t a feeling.
It’s a result of movement.

You don’t have to be fearless.
You just have to be willing.
