About Your Instructor

Hi, there! I’m Jama. For the last 20+ years, I’ve worked my way up the ranks as a professional portrait photographer, gaining both local and national recognition.

I have combined expertise with studio portrait photography and have grasped the essence of shooting with natural, outdoor light; adding a flare of modern imagery. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to add several awards to my shelf, including, being named a “Best of Austin” portrait photographer for the last six years. I’ve also been published in The New York Times, and featured in numerous local papers and exhibitions.

If there’s anything I want to do next, it’s to work with aspiring photographers of any degree and teach them about the wonderful world of photography.

In these lessons, parents, entrepreneurs, photographers, hobbyists, and bloggers will learn how to excel at the art of photography through one-on-one Zoom lessons (some in-person sessions may be available, too.)

The mission I have is to enrich students’ lives through the relaxing, enjoyable, and if desired, profitable art of photography.
