Austin Photographer Details: Everything You Need to Know
First, our initial phone call—this is when we get to know each other a bit and see if we are a good fit for working together. We discuss your goals for the session, the art you envision for your home, any location ideas you have in mind, and I answer any questions you have.
If necessary, we can get together in person, in your home, to view art samples. Some people need to see and touch samples to really get a feel for them. It’s also a good time to show me the walls you are thinking of hanging wall art on, so I can help with design ideas, and we can get a feel for what will work best in your home for your family.
Once you are ready to book your portrait session, the retainer is due in full to reserve your date on the calendar.
Portrait Welcome Packet
Next, you will receive a special gift in your mailbox or in person if we get together. The portrait welcome packet is your formal welcome to your experience and includes all the information you need about the session, the products, and a successful experience. My clients LOVE it!
If you need help with clothing choices, I am happy to consult. Please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with images of clothing options. I recommend choosing from a palette of 4-5 colors that will work well with your session location and your home décor.
Please be ready to go at the scheduled session time. Let the kids know we will be having fun together! We will be together for approximately 45-60 minutes during the session (longer for a lifestyle newborn session).
In-Person Order Session
This is the best part! This appointment is scheduled for 1-2 weeks after your portrait session. We do this in the comfort of your home. This appointment is when you see all of your images for the first time and place your order. You will also be able to see and feel the heirloom albums, frames, and canvas samples at this meeting, and select the products that are the best fit for your family. Don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of time. Payment for products is due at this time as well.
Heirloom Art is Ready
Finally, this is the day you’ve been waiting for! You can expect your art in hand within six weeks. Once I receive everything, I will contact you and we will schedule a time for delivery.
Happily Ever After
Your family will happily enjoy art on your walls or keepsake albums for generations to come!
I hope these Austin photographer details provides you with everything you need to know. Contact me to get started with the process.
